The NBCF offers the "Home Independence Program" (HIP) at no cost to senior citizens. The program aims to provide support to individuals who may have previously been viewed as affluent or distinguished community members but are now aging and facing financial or physical challenges, limited income, and without a pension. The services offered by the HIP can aid in improving the quality of life for seniors suffering from mental and physical health issues.Through the HIP, seniors can receive assistance with tasks such as home maintenance and repairs. By providing these resources, the NBCF hopes to help seniors maintain their independence and continue living in their own homes for as long as possible. The Home Independence Program is just one way that the NBCF is working to support older adults and improve their overall well-being.
Beyond these specific programs, the NBCF also advocates for policies and practices that benefit seniors. This includes working to improve access to healthcare, affordable housing, and transportation options. By taking a comprehensive approach to senior care, the NBCF hopes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and support them in maintaining their dignity, independence, and well-being.
